I’m LLH. I write and produce music on my computer. Most of it is electronic. Sometimes I sing, sometimes I rap, and sometimes there are no vocals at all.
Music has been part of my life since I was five. It started with piano lessons. I recorded little pieces, played around with chords and slowly went from playing music to writing it. All I had was a computer, so electronic music was the obvious way in, and for a long time I only made instrumentals. They felt safer, because I could say things without putting them into words.
I could say things without putting them into words.
That changed with Make Me Feel Alright, the first time I wrote real lyrics, with verses and a proper structure. Most of it happened late at night: open Logic, throw some ideas together, keep what works, close it again. These days I just enjoy making music, and I still use it to work through whatever’s going on.
On sound
I don’t really think in genres. My taste is all over the place: I love Grimes, Kanye West and Rammstein, and I’ll listen to pretty much anything if it fits my mood. Most of what I make ends up electronic, simply because I make it on a computer, but the mood changes a lot from project to project. I start an album with an idea and see where it goes.
One day I want someone to tell me that one of my songs changed something for them. Every release is a snapshot of where I was when I made it.
